Privacy Policy

Last updated: 29 August 2026

This privacy policy explains how Nugawi Limited (“Nugawi”, “we”, “us”) collects and uses personal data when you visit nugawi.ai (the “Website”). We are the controller for that data. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018 (and, for visitors from the EU, the EU GDPR).

1. Who we are

Nugawi Limited, company number 14882169, registered office 76 Ashley Drive, Twickenham, TW2 6HL, United Kingdom. Contact: info@nugawi.ai.

Scope. This policy covers the Website and its contact form only. When you become a client, your engagement is governed by the signed agreement between us (and data processing terms where applicable), not by this policy.

2. What data we collect and how

The Website has no accounts, payments, newsletters, or comments. We collect:

Contact form enquiries. If you submit the contact form, we receive the details you type, name, email address, company, and your message, together with technical metadata needed to operate and protect the form (a submission timestamp and anti-spam signals). The message is delivered to our shared inbox (info@nugawi.ai) through AWS infrastructure in the UK and our email delivery provider.

Server logs. Like nearly all websites, our hosting (Amazon CloudFront and related AWS services) records standard technical logs for each request: IP address, browser type, pages requested, referring page, and time. We use these logs to keep the site secure and to understand, in aggregate, how the site is used, including which pages attract visits, including visits arriving from AI assistants.

Analytics and advertising measurement. We use Google’s measurement services (Google Analytics 4 and Google Ads, loaded through the Google tag) to understand, in aggregate, how visitors find and use the site and whether our advertising works. This can include: pages viewed, approximate location derived from IP (country/city), device and browser type, referring site, and, if you arrive via one of our adverts, a campaign/click identifier such as gclid. Google sets cookies or similar identifiers for this purpose. See section 7 for your choices.

Local browser preference. The site may store your colour-theme preference in your browser’s local storage. This never leaves your device and is removed when you clear your browser data.

We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18, and the Website is not directed at them.

3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

  • To respond to your enquiry, necessary to take steps at your request prior to entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in handling prospective-client contact.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent spam/abuse, legitimate interests and compliance with legal obligations.
  • To understand site usage and measure marketing, our legitimate interest in improving the Website and knowing whether our content and advertising reach the right people, and, where the law requires consent for the relevant cookies, consent obtained through the Website’s cookie controls.

4. Who we share it with

We do not sell personal data. We share it only with:

  • IT and delivery providers who process it on our instructions: Amazon Web Services (website hosting, contact-form processing, log storage) and its infrastructure primarily in the UK (London) region; Google (analytics and advertising measurement); and our transactional email provider, which delivers contact-form submissions to our inbox.
  • Professional advisers and authorities where required (for example legal obligations, or establishing/defending legal claims).
  • Business transfers, if we reorganise or sell the business, data may be transferred with it, subject to this policy.

5. International transfers

Our core infrastructure (AWS) serving the Website and form is in the UK. Google and our email provider may process data in the US or elsewhere outside the UK. Where personal data is transferred outside the UK, we make sure appropriate safeguards are in place, for example the UK adequacy regulations for destinations the UK considers adequate, or contracts such as the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, and we keep those arrangements under review.

6. How long we keep it

  • Contact-form enquiries: for up to 24 months after our last correspondence with you, so we can resume conversations sensibly, then deleted (unless we are obliged to keep records, e.g. for a legal claim).
  • Analytics data: according to the retention settings in Google Analytics (event-level data kept no longer than 14 months).
  • Server logs: up to 13 months, then deleted.
  • In every case we keep data only as long as we need it for the purposes above, or as long as the law requires.

7. Cookies and your choices

The only cookies and similar technologies the Website sets are the measurement cookies described in section 2 (Google Analytics / Google Ads) plus strictly necessary technical operation of the site. We do not run any other advertising networks on the site.

You can control cookies through your browser settings (blocking or deleting them). You can opt out of Google Analytics with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on, and control personalised advertising via Google’s Ads Settings or your device’s privacy settings. Blocking measurement cookies will not stop the site from working.

8. Your rights

Depending on where you are, you have rights including: access to your data, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, objection, portability, and, where we rely on consent, withdrawal of consent. To use any of them, email info@nugawi.ai; we respond within one month. If you are in the UK and unhappy with how we handle your data, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk (Wycliffe House, Water Lane, Wilmslow, SK9 5AF). EU visitors may complain to their national supervisory authority.

9. Security

We use industry-standard measures, HTTPS, AWS infrastructure and access controls, to protect data. No transmission or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page with the date above. We recommend checking occasionally. Material changes will be flagged on the Website.
